Vertosa closes $6 million round of seed funding to scale strategically

Vertosa, a renowned California based cannabis as well as hemp infusion technology company, reportedly announced that it has closed a $6 million Series Seed Funding Round which was co-led by the New York based Welcan Capital and California based AFI Capital Partners.

The company now plans to use their new capital to scale strategically, consolidate their comprehensive role within the infused products supply chain, and to assist their partnered brands both nationally and globally.

Ben Larson, CEO, Vertosa, reportedly stated that the company is thrilled to have acquired a strong network of investors, who are actively supporting the company’s vision and values and showing confidence in their growth potential.

Vertosa looked for investments from key players in food and beverage sector, including consumer packaged goods, alcohol, cannabis and beyond, to fill the gap between the cannabis industry and the mainstream consumer market.

The other investment groups who participated in the seed round include Big Rock Partners of San Francisco, known for their network of hospitality, media and cannabis brands; Goat Rodeo Capital, known for its diversified portfolio of alcohol and cannabis investments; and other business investors like JamJar Investments and Finn Capital Partners.

Vertosa engineers solution, is particularly customized to the needs of beverage, food, beauty, health and other partners. Under the leadership of Dr. Harold Han, CSO and Founder, a team of skilled scientists at Vertosa develop stable and homogenous cannabis-infused products that optimize bioavailability, while customizing color, texture, clarity and taste to best fit the required needs of each product. The firm ensures that the product development process with patent-pending formulas can be easily accessible from concept to customer.

The investment announcement follows the startup rebranding itself and adopting its current brand name, Vertosa. Within a short span, the firm has established itself as the go-to hemp and cannabis infusion partner for both niche and mainstream brands, which includes startups like Tinley Beverage Co, GoodDay Beverages and House of Saka wine, and famous names like VitaCoco and Humphry Slocombe ice cream.
