Leading Indian media conglomerate, Network18 has reportedly announced a partnership with well-known independent FAST (free, ad-supported streaming TV) platform, DistroTV, for enabling the latter’s users in India to stream its diverse portfolio of channels free of cost and live.
The partnership, in its initial phase, witnessed the launch of key channels of Network18, including CNN-News18, CNBC Awaaz, CNBC TV18, and News18 India on the platform.
In fact, this collaboration is likely to be strengthened by adding more of Network18 channels from across its digital as well as regional portfolio in the coming years.
Speaking on this partnership, Head of Video Strategy & Partnerships at Network18, Pranav Bakshi, expressed excitement in joining forces with DistroTV as this partnership aligns with their goal of offering best-in-class user experiences for their viewers across the country.
As per Pranav, the launch of this diversified set of channels on DistroTV represents a testament to the company’s commitment to innovation within the dynamic media landscape.
On the other hand, co-founder & CEO of DistroScale, the parent company of DistroTV, Navdeep Saini mentioned that DistroTV is thrilled to team up with Network18, which is a media powerhouse revolutionizing the Indian media landscape.
The partnership would be bringing a diverse range of quality content to audiences in India for further solidifying the company’s position as the best place for watching global entertainment, news, as well as sports, Navdeep added.
