Cybersecurity firm FireEye reveals new election security resource

Cybersecurity refers to safeguarding internet-connected systems such as software and hardware from potential cyberattacks. It is used in identifying theft while maintaining risk management. In order to prevent potential attacks, companies have now started to develop new and advanced platforms and services that can effectively eliminate such cyber threats.

FireEye, Inc., a U.S. based cybersecurity company, has recently made some advancements in this field when it revealed that its new election security public resource would contain the newest informational materials and cybersecurity recommendations that will help the government conduct free and impartial elections.

According to reliable sources, the resource would have appropriate event information, easily accessible threat intelligence and solutions to deal with issues regarding election security from a technology standpoint, host free webinars, as well as one of response and emergency management preparedness.

Commenting on the latest development, Ron Bushar, CTO of Government Services, FireEye, said that election security has become a top priority across the world. He said that given to the scale and value an election holds, the most common factor in an effective election is voters’ confidence in the system.

Bushar added that the company is determined to secure its defenses to guarantee the reliability of the vote while restoring trust in the system, both in the U.S. and across the globe.

As election tampering and cyber-enabled interference still haunt the headlines, the root cause still seems to be uncertain due to varieties of differing threats hovering around an election ecosystem. However, with this resource, the company seeks to highlight a clear view on the election threat landscape, while providing smart solutions for organizations of all sizes and types.

Reportedly, FireEye was also in spotlight recently when it announced that it had bagged a 2019 Cyber Security Awards for the Best Security Company of the Year. The event which recognizes the best teams, companies and individuals from the cybersecurity sector is claimed to be one of the prestigious and renowned award ceremonies in the industry.
