RAC Insurance moves to MicroStrategy Cloud™ Platform on Azure
Cloud computing is one of the many trends in the IT industry that offers valuable services like mobility, cost-saving, security and flexibility to organizations. In the current digital era, companies are focusing on harnessing cloud computing to gain added benefits and enhance business capability.
A similar instance occurred recently when MicroStrategy, one of the leading providers of mobility software and enterprise analytics in the world announced that its client RAC Insurance will be moving its analytics to MicroStrategy Cloud Platform on Azure to reduce cost and discover new opportunities that could create value for its members.
For a record, the Western Australia-based company, RAC Insurance offers insurance services such as cover for homes, cars, businesses, and pets along with health insurance and life insurance to its clients. Two years ago, the company deployed the MicroStrategy platform which offers actionable and valuable insights to RAC Insurance frontline staff and managers.
However, with the recent move, RAC plans to transit its entire data analytics environment onto the Azure platform which will help enhance the firm’s overall member experience. Furthermore, the move will enable RAC Insurance to dispense with on-premises infrastructure, reduce cost and create value for members.
According to Brent Klesura, Data Scientist at RAC Insurance, MicroStrategy plays a vital role in providing timely and trustworthy information. This helps RAC Insurance staff to focus more on insights to drive outcomes more efficiently.
He added that MicroStrategy also offers various visualization tools to match different business problems when it comes to board-level reporting and robust management.
Kevin Squiers, Manager of Project Delivery, RAC Insurance, claims that the company made this move to achieve scalability and reliability. The company is planning to utilize the MicroStrategy Cloud Platform on Azure to generate numerous new data point by leveraging predictive analytics which will ultimately help it increase profitability, offer growth opportunities and attain a competitive lead.
With the help of the cloud, RAC Insurance will also start working at higher speed with stronger collaboration between IT departments and businesses, cites Squiers.
